Global Organizations – America First Means Knowing Who We’re Really Dealing With
NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization)
NATO is a long-standing military alliance designed to ensure collective defense among member nations. It has played a major role in maintaining stability in Europe and countering global threats. From an America First perspective, it is important that all member countries contribute fairly. The United States should not bear a disproportionate share of the financial or military burden, and alliances must always serve American security interests first.
United Nations (UN)
The United Nations was created to promote international cooperation, peace, and human rights across the globe. It provides a platform for countries to address global issues together. However, critics argue that certain UN decisions and resolutions can conflict with American values and sovereignty. It is important for Americans to stay informed and ensure that participation in global bodies does not undermine national independence or constitutional principles.
World Health Organization (WHO)
The WHO focuses on global public health, coordinating responses to international health crises and providing guidance to member countries. While global health coordination is important, concerns have been raised about transparency, influence, and decision-making authority. From an America First standpoint, U.S. policies and public health decisions should always remain under American control.
Other Global Organizations
Many international organizations influence trade, policy, and global governance. These include economic forums, regulatory bodies, and multinational agreements. Americans should remain aware of how these institutions operate and how their decisions may impact national sovereignty, economic strength, and constitutional rights. Transparency and accountability are essential when engaging at the global level.
